Shawn Carter

Shawn Carter has worked in the satellite communications industry for more than a decade. He has also directed a weekly educational television series in Raleigh, N.C. Shawn, a father of two, lives in Atlanta, Ga., where he is an active member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). This is his first book.

Sheldon is a book series centered on a curious, 7-year-old African-American boy and his friends. The series is designed to actively engage young readers with everyday adventures and teaches children how to embrace and observe their surroundings. Children will learn to read and build their vocabulary skills while exploring the imaginative world of Sheldon. This book series is a step toward fostering a lifelong love of stories, reading and language."
